  Jenna Moden  


Jenna Moden is starting her tenth year in education at Focus Learning Academy of Central Columbus. She graduated from the University of Cincinnati with her Bachelors of Science in Middle School Education. She taught Kindergarten through second grade in Dallas, Texas before moving back to Ohio to be closer to family. At Focus North, she taught second grade, became the curriculum coach then moved to the role of assistant principal. During this time she received her Masters degree in educational leadership from Ashland University. The years she spent at Focus North were formative in her growth as an educator as it provided a foundation for leadership and elementary curriculum. She is honored to move into the principal role at Focus Central this year. Mrs. Moden enjoys spending time with her husband, son and daughter. In her free time she loves to cook, watch sports, shop, travel and spend quality time with her friends and family.

  Summer Huston  


Mrs. Huston is one of our Kindergarten Teachers. She taught Kindergarten for 7 years at Focus Learning Academy of Northern Columbus before accepting the Kindergarten and Instructional Coach position at Focus Learning Academy of Central. Mrs. Huston graduated from Urbana University in 2003 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and will be pursuing a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership this winter. Aside from being a teacher, Mrs. Huston is a wife and mother of three children. She enjoys spending time with her family, being outdoors, and relaxing with a good book.

  Erin Leonhardt  


Erin Leonhardt has recently graduated from The Ohio State University with her Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education. This will be Erin's first teaching experience teaching first grade. In her free time, she loves to spend time with her family, friends, and cockapoo puppy named Ellie. Most weekends you will find Miss Leonhardt exploring new hiking destinations around Columbus or taking pictures.

  Grace Fonseca  

1st Grade

Miss Fonseca recently graduated from her hometown college, Urbana University, with her Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education. This will be Miss Fonseca's first year teaching, and she is so excited to teach first grade! Growing up in a small rural town about an hour away from Columbus, Miss Fonseca is looking forward to the change of pace that this area will offer. When she isn't at school, Miss Fonseca enjoys spending time with her friends, family, and cat, Cuddles. Some of Miss Fonseca's favorite things to do are spend time outside, practice yoga, and try new foods and restaurants!

  Kara Pearl  

2nd Grade

Ms. Pearl is a 3rd year teacher, but this is first year here at Focus! Ms. Pearl graduated from Wright State University in 2018 with her Bachelors in Early Childhood Education. She just recently moved to Columbus and is loving it here! She is from a small town in Ohio called South Charleston, which is about and hour away from here. She grew up on a small farm raising rabbits, sheep, pigs, cows and ducks! Ms. Pearl can be found hiking outside, traveling, or hanging out with her friends and family. Her life's goal is to travel to all 50 states and see all of the United States National Parks!

  Dave Zitko 

Facilities Director

Mr. Zitko is the maintenance man at FLACC and he is known around the school as Mr. Dave, Mr. Z and “The Fixer”. David recently retired early from the corporate world. He is a graduate from Wright State University with a degree in Philosophy and a minor in Communications and has worked for several companies in both the USA and Canada, including BMW Financial Services, BMW Motorcycles of North America, Discover Card, Time Warner Cable and Spectrum. Mr. Dave is an avid Do-it-Yourselfer at home who also enjoys working on his cars, golfing and working in the yard. Although not an educator, he recognizes that he is an influencer in the eyes of the children and it is very important to lead by example at all times. His goal is to provide a safe and clean learning environment for the students, teachers and staff.
